Homemade Pear Crumble (Easy)

Pear Crumble Recipe:

  • 2 Large Pears
  • 3/4 cup of Brown Sugar
  • 1tsp of ground cinnamon

Topping: 

  • 3/4 cup of Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1/2 cup of flour (Whatever kind you prefer: Wheat, Coconut, Rice).

Directions:

  1. Preheat Oven to 350F
  2. Cut pears into thin slices.
  3. Mix pears, 3/4 cup of brown sugar, and cinnamon evenly together.
  4. In a separate bowl, blend together butter, flour and 3/4 cup of brown sugar until moist. Fold in rolled oats until ‘crumbly’.
  5. Evenly spread pear mixture in a glass pan then evenly coat with oat mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until golden brown

Serve warm with ice cream! Enjoy!

This recipe is very simple and easy to replace wheat items with gluten free items. The oats I used were gluten free and I also used gluten free rice flour.

Originally, I first combined the flour, brown sugar and oats together but then found it hard to evenly mix in the butter in the next step. It is up to you if you want to fold in the oats after or before the butter is added.

This is what it looks like when you don’t fold in the oats but rather blend them with the butter. Either way, the crumble is ready to go into the oven!
